(514-1,-2,-3) This yellow crossroads folder is still relatively easy to find. It was widely distributed due to the long model-year run for the 1951 Kaiser. In fact, there are at least three versions: a copyright 1950 printing(-1) , a (-2) copyright 1951 printing, and a printing (-3) with no copyright date. The version with no copyright date has height 1/2 inch less than others (10 x 9 1/2 rather than 10 x 10 inches). An attempt at sorting out the versions is presented on another page. Slight text differences are mainly result of shortages of things like whitewall tires due to Korean war. This is really a nice folder to use as a poster as when it is fully open it measures 40 x 19 5/8 inches (at least for the 10 x 10 versions) and eight color renderings of various Deluxe and Special models are shown...beautiful!
(514-4,-5) This is the deluxe catalog for the 1951 Kaiser. It measures 11 x 11 inches and opens to 22 x 11. Has 24 pages counting covers. Two versions exist: copyright 1950(-4) and copyright 1951 (-5). Illustrations for the most part are the same as in the yellow crossroads folder. These are so large that when one is found, it has likely been folded down the middle to fit in a glovebox or some such. Very difficult to find in good condition (the white covers are prone to staining.
(514-6) This postcard measures 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and is difficult to find. "The Kaiser for 1951 with all its brilliance and grace is the achievement of Anatomic Design."
(514-7) This postcard measures 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and is difficult to find. "A charmer in town and a breeze on the highway--the new 1951 Kaiser."
(514-8) This folder is from K-F of Canada. It measures 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 and opens to 10 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches. A difficult one to find! The second view shows inside the fully opened folder.
(514-9) This card lists specifications for the 1951 Kaiser on one side and Wisconsin dealers along with picture of 51 Kaiser on other side. It measures 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. Similar card may have been used by dealers in other areas of the country. The small hole may have been added or it may have been made that way to allow the card to hang on a nail or peg.
(514-10) Another specifications card. This one measures 4 x 6 inches. Major specs for the 1951 Kaiser on on side and on the other side, under the heading "Question Card" is the message "If you care to have additional information on the new 1951 Kaiser line, please write your question and hand this card to the attendant. Thanks." This must have been handed out at a show or special display.
(514-11) This folder is a rare one! Compare with 514-8 which was also, like this one, printed in Canada. Measures 3 1/2 x 8 3/8 inches and opens to 10/1/2 x 8 3/8 inches. French language and stamped with French distributor's name. I'm showing views of the closed folder and both sides of the opened folder. Thanks to Mike Barker for the loan of this item.
(514-12) This folder is another rare one! Compare with the one above except this one is in English. Printed in Canada for Kaiser-Frazer Export Corporation. Measures 3 1/2 x 8 7/16 inches and opens to 10 1/2x 8 7/16 inches. I added this to my collection from ebay in November 2003. The seller is in England. New finds are still out there!
