(543-1) This mailer reproduces an article from the Chicago Daily News by Auto Editor Walt Green. Measures 6 x 8 3/8 and opens to 12 x 8 3/8 inches. I've made the open view a link to a higher resolution (100K) page if you care to read Green's comments. "All in all, I judge the 1954 Kaiser Manhattan a sweet job."
(543-2) This Darrin folder measures 6 3/4 x 4 3/4 and opens to 13 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches. I've never paid much attention to the message inside, but reading it just now tells me I've missed something all these years! "We think that once you have driven the Kaiser-Darrin 161, you may become one of the privileged few who will own them. For that reason we have taken the liberty of reserving in your behalf the time indicated on the card above for a road demonstration of the Kaiser-Darrin 161--subject of course, to your approval. Will you do us the honor of phoning us in advance if you would like this reservation confirmed?" I have never seen any of these with the attached cards--anyone seen one?
(543-3) This Darrin postcard measures 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. Copy right is 1953. Caption on reverse reads: "The fabulous Kaiser-Darrin KF-161" "Nothing like it in all the world!"
(543-4) This folder measures 14 x 10 1/2 and opens to 28 x 21 inches. Not easy to find one of these that's not folded or torn because it's hard to store these big ones!
(543-6) This card measures 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches and comes with mailing envelope. Printing on one side only. Anyone know how this was used by dealers?
(543-7) This card measures 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. A supply of these was included with any Darrin ordered by dealer for the introduction. Even if the car was already sold, the dealer was instructed to get permission to hold the car for a few days to attempt to get traffic into showroom. Until I found this one on ebay recently I had thought item 543-6 was the intro card. Now I am uncertain as to what use it was put.
