By the
time the car was paid off ($43.28 a month for 30 months) Fern had
married Lester Burhoop of Bremerton Washington. |
Lester Burhoop was a Navy Man and also
owned a Henry J (one serial number off of Fern's Henry J)
Lester had lots of interesting war stories from World War II

When did we buy the Henry J? |
We (Jim & Carolyn Betts) bought the
Henry J in August of 1995, reupholstered the J and took it to the
1996 Portland KFOCI Convention. |

How did the Henry J get to Yakima Washington? |
In December 1996, I changed jobs and
we moved to the dry side of the State of Washington. |
The brakes failed on the way over
Cascade Mountains and the Henry J got parked. |

What's next? |
Well, its now 2006, the Henry J has
68,158 miles on the odometer and its time for a major cleanup and
restoration. |
